Hi, I'm Yaosheng Lou
PhD Candidate in Educational Psychology and Methodology
My work focuses on longitudinal designs, artificial intelligence, multilevel modeling, heterogeneous treatment effects, and evidence synthesis (e.g., meta-analysis).

I am a PhD candidate in Educational Psychology and Methodology at the University at Albany, State University of New York. I study how quantitative methods and AI can help researchers better evaluate interventions, treatments, and policies, and support stronger evidence-based decision-making.
What I Study
My current research focuses on two related areas. First, I develop and evaluate multilevel modeling approaches for longitudinal data, particularly in the presence of moderators and mediators. Second, I explore how AI (e.g., large language models, machine learning) can be integrated into research workflows and data analysis. Across both lines of work, I aim to improve how researchers evaluate the effectiveness of educational and psychological interventions.
I am also developing an AI chatbot for meta-analysis of single-case experimental designs (SCEDs), supporting tasks such as research question formulation, study screening, data extraction, risk-of-bias assessment, and effect size selection.
